The Metadata Analysis & Specification group provides a number of metadata related services to the UCSD Libraries for internal and external projects. Services include mapping between metadata formats, functional specifications for the UCSD Libraries' DAMS, object specifications for migrating data to the DAMS, consultation on metadata creation for digitization projects, development of digital preservation metadata and related procedures. Members of the unit also participate in collaborative projects as outlined below.
