Cataloging Committee Current Projects and Subcommittees

This subcommittee was formed in 2005 to identify and resolve issues with the creation of our new Form/Genre index.
Current members include Ryan Finnerty (chair), Jim Soe Nyun, and Marilú Vallejo.
They are working on determining what thesauri are currently used in our database, what thesauri to use in the future, a preferred order of accepted thesauri, loading authority records into our new form/genre index, resolving discrepancies between authority records from different thesauri, and other issues.
The process will involve appropriate public service groups when the time is ready.
