Recently we discovered that our Vietnamese records have diacritic problems. I sent an example of the problem to Innovative and found that we needed an additional load table that would correct the double diacritic problem. I will be responsible for correcting the records already in the system but catalogers will need to change their 949 string when downloading Vietnamese language records. Instead of using *recs=b in the 949, you will need to use *recs=vie . We don't receive a lot of Vietnamese language materials, so we may not need a new macro but wanted everyone to be aware of the needed change in the 949 string.
