VARIABLE FIELDS (BIB RECORD) DELETED UPON EXPORT
The UCSD Libraries do not use all fields of the MARC bib record in its cataloging. Variable fields that are deleted upon export -- and, thus, do not require any action by catalogers -- are listed below. These fields are deleted as records are exported from OCLC to Pactech.
NOTE: All indicators and subfields are included unless specificall noted otherwise. ("I2" equals second indicator.) Also note that this list is based on MARC fields, subfields, and indicators valid as of February 1999.
