Digital Object Metadata Management

The Digital Object Metadata Management (DOMM) unit provides a number of metadata related services to the UC San Diego Campus and Library. 

Services include:

  • Consultation on metadata creation for digitization projects
  • Metadata consultation for data curation and data management planning in coordination with the Library's Research Data Curation Program (RDCP)
  • Metadata consulting for importing objects into the Library's Digital Collections portal
  • Mapping between metadata formats
  • Functional specifications for the UC San Diego Library's Digital Asset Management System (DAMS)
  • Development of digital preservation metadata and related procedures
